Major pharmaceutical company 1 - RAPIScan®
Over the last few years our client had seen more competitors entering the market offering lower prices with inferior service. Our client needed to make its own prices more competitive over time to keep its market share but left the service unchanged to satisfy customers. A project was launched to check the health of the business and propose improvements, LCP deployed its RAPIScan® methodology to find supply chain opportunities and save costs.
Major pharmaceutical company 2 - Transport modelling
During a RAPIScan® project, LCP recommended reviewing their transport management because there were major cost savings opportunities. A follow-on project was launched to model the transport operations as they operated and develop 'what if' scenarios. LCP deployed a well known routing and scheduling package to show the efficiency improvements in various scenarios.
European general merchandise retailer - Supply chain strategy
The aim of the project was to define the practical options for the client's supply chain to support their planned growth over the next three years.
Wholesaler and logistics provider 1 - Synergies In recent years, our clients, a wholesaler and a logistics provider, considered cooperating to save costs and enlarge both their networks and the services that they could provide. The companies decided to launch a joint project to analyse the synergies and identify potential cost savings at different levels of cooperation. LCP was engaged to collect information from the businesses independently, to analyse the synergies and to highlight the potential savings and opportunities.
Wholesaler and logistics provider 2 - Delivery charges
The sector this company works in is subject to governmental regulation, which is changing. To address the challenges posed by forthcoming decisions, our client launched a project to review the delivery charges for its customers, to reduce the impact of the potential uncertainty and possible outcomes. LCP worked with the client to develop solutions, with several scenarios assessed and reviewed.
International transport trade body - Supply chain mapping and carbon-to-serve® modelling
The client wanted to gain a better understanding of the environmental impact of their industry’s core freight mode on two typical supply chains and identify opportunities for improvement.
As part of the project LCP applied its Carbon-to-Serve® methodology to map and model the ‘source to shelf’ carbon emissions of two products. The project was a collaboration of several members of the international Green Logistics Consultants Group.
Major pharmaceutical company - ABC Portfolio analysis
In recent years our client faced challenges to align demand and supply resulting in high stock levels and expirations for some products and out-of-stock occasions for other products. LCP was brought into the company launching a project to design and implement a full S&OP process.
Major oil company - Distribution model review
Our client, one of the world's leading oil companies, had allowed the distribution models in each country to develop independently. Various distribution models had developed over time and some were more efficient than others.
