‘TAKING CASH OUT OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN’ - This topic was presented recently by Julian Mosquera at the International Association for Departmental Stores conference in Lucerne, where specific actions where shared and explored in greater detail.

The pressure on businesses to protect margin and achieve meaningful cost reduction is never more apparent than during a period of economic downturn.

Bombarded by the challenges of fuel inflation and its knock on effect on Cost of Goods, weakened trading conditions made even more dire by the 'credit crunch', EU legislation increasing our cost to operate etc., it rapidly becomes a fight for survival.

Julian described how LCP has been working with many businesses across all sectors to examine how they may best respond to these challenges and "take cash out of the supply chain", identifying and delivering real cost reduction, using a Rapid Assessment methodology to accelerate this process.
